Co-written by band member Doug Edwards and Dave Richardson, who at that time was a police officer, "Wildflower" topped the Canadian charts and became a million-selling record. Skylark debuted on the Pop/Rock charts in 1973 with the soulful and tender power ballad, "Wildflower," which became a Top 10 hit and the band's signature song.
